Introduction: Duet a TikTok With a Pre-recorded Video

I have been dabbling late shortly stop-motility animations, and, since they're only a few seconds long, the ideal place to share them turns out to live TikTok (Don River't judge me!)

One of the fun parts of TikTok is the chance to duet with another user - recording your video in parallel to theirs.

Unfortunately, you cannot use a pre-recorded telecasting to duet with some other user, and break off-motion is *forever* pre-recorded, so this is how I got around this way out. The first time made an alive duet, the simple process of posting it took hours, simply now I've developed this workflow, IT's a matter of minutes (not including the actual brio, course...).

(All of these screenshots are of an Android phone.)

Step 1: Apps, Apps, Apps...

To pretend a duet with an animation, I use four apps:

  • TikTok
  • PicPac (Stop Motion Studio is a better app for animation, but information technology produces videos in a resolution that TikTok does not accept)
  • TikMate Downloader
  • VideoMerge
  • Crop and Trim Video

All four apps are free, but for logistical reasons, I have paid out for the "pro" version of PicPac

Whole step 2: Choose Your Television

When you do across a TikTok that you want to duet with, you need to Favourite the video (other you will miss IT), and copy the link up to the video.

Spigot the small rotating "auditory sensation" icon in the bottom recess of the screen, and get across "Add to Favourites".

(Short cut: some TikToks can be downloaded to your phone. Do that if you can.)

Step 3: Download the Video

If you have already downloaded the video, decamp this step out.

Other, active TikMate Downloader and paste in the link to the TV. The app will then download your picture.

Step 4: Make Your Animation

I'm non sledding to tell you how to animate (that's a entirely different instructable), but make sure you take your photos in roughly the same ration as the TV you want to yoke with.

If the beat or timing of the sound is important, you fire extract the sound from the downloaded TikTok using an app like Video to MP3 Converter, and make sure your video works with the sound.

Save the animation.

Step 5: Merge

Once I hold both the innovative TikTok downloaded, and my animation successful, I use the VideoMerge app to run both videos side of meat-by-side.

At this present, you power find you want to adjust the animation timing to make things work, but exist patient.

Step 6: Trim

Using VideoMerge adds black bars to either side of your merged videos, and that makes your video smaller than you want.

I use the crop tool in Range and Reduce Video recording to remove those black parallel bars.

Dance step 7: Post

That's it, completely you have to do now is berth your television onto TikTok.

Remember your manners, though, and tag in the creator of the original picture, and lease them see what you've done!
